Pricing Manager

About the role

The Pricing Manager will drive maximum revenue for Etihad Airways by defining product availability and setting optimal prices across diverse market segments, using accurate demand forecasting. The role involves daily pricing decisions, demand management and collaboration with market managers to meet revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Set optimal prices by market segment for Etihad’s products and services per a pricing strategy versus benchmark carriers, with buy‑in of the Market Managers and in adherence with pricing policies.
• Manage and forecast demand for Etihad’s products and services at the various pricing levels, emphasizing revenue maximisation during high‑demand holiday periods and special events.
• Ensure accuracy of forecasted consumer demand and selling fares, providing critical inputs for the revenue‑management optimisation engine.
• Make daily decisions to proactively adjust price and demand levels based on market, economic factors and competitor behaviour.
• Evaluate pricing requests from key commercial stakeholders, setting and negotiating prices using logical, fact‑based analysis.
• Contribute as a key stakeholder to the development of customer‑centric product offerings and manage revenue‑management operations to achieve commercial objectives.

Required profile

• Degree level education or relevant analytical experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in a numerate and analytical role.
• High familiarity with airline systems such as PROS, Origin & Destination Systems, GDS, MIDT, and management accounting reports.
