Primary Teacher (KS1) – Maternity Cover

About the role

Deira International School is seeking an enthusiastic Primary Teacher for Key Stage 1 to provide maternity cover starting November 2026. You will join an award‑winning, inclusive community dedicated to holistic education and high academic standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging KS1 lessons across the core and non‑core curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with senior staff to ensure continuity of learning during the maternity period.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
• Participate in school-wide events, extracurricular activities and professional development sessions.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with recognized certification for primary education.
• Experience teaching KS1 or early primary pupils in an international school setting.
• Strong commitment to the school’s values of respect, fairness and high expectations.
• Ability to adapt quickly to the school’s curriculum and assessment frameworks.
