Principal AI Engineer

About the role

Analog is seeking a Principal AI Engineer to lead AI capability across delivery, ensuring responsible AI practices are embedded in engineering workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead model selection and evaluation for AI across delivery teams, matching models to operational needs.
• Design guardrails and human-in-the-loop workflows to keep AI outputs safe, explainable and trusted.
• Own the technical roadmap for AI capability within the Hive platform and prioritize work against measurable outcomes.
• Partner with the principal solution architect to integrate AI components into the broader platform architecture.

Required profile

• Extensive hands-on experience leading AI or machine learning engineering in product or platform teams.
• Demonstrated interest and experience in responsible AI, setting standards for evaluation, bias, safety and human oversight.
• Strong communication skills and the judgment to decline AI use where inappropriate.

Required skills

• Model selection and evaluation in production systems.
• Design of AI guardrails and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Embedding AI tooling into engineering workflows.
