Principal Mechanical Static Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of static equipment for oil & gas projects in the Middle East. The role combines technical expertise, project leadership and business development support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review equipment specifications, datasheets and design calculations for tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and related process packages.
• Lead technical proposals, cost estimating and discipline execution strategies for new business opportunities.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary reviews, HAZID/HAZOP workshops and ensure compliance with ASME, local and international codes.
• Mentor junior engineers, manage resource loading and support performance reviews.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in concept, FEED and detailed design of rotating and static equipment for on‑shore oil & gas projects.
• Deep knowledge of ASME Section VIII pressure‑vessel design, PWHT, NDE, material selection and code compliance.
• Proven track record in procurement support, vendor management and package engineering.
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers, suppliers and internal disciplines.
