Principal Project Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Principal Project Engineer to lead the PMC Engineering group for a major offshore and upstream project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing engineering, procurement, and contractor activities while ensuring compliance with contract requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day work allocation, supervision and oversight of the Contractor during Engineering and Procurement phases.
• Lead development and implementation of engineering processes, procedures and systems.
• Provide independent project management consultancy, risk mitigation and recovery planning.
• Coordinate technical reviews, vendor document processing and obtain Owner approvals.
• Interface with Piping, Mechanical, Structural, E&I and specialist disciplines and conduct succession planning.
• Ensure safety leadership on site and maintain compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• Extensive FEED & EPC experience, preferably in offshore and upstream projects.
• Proven experience in PMC roles and managing multi‑disciplinary technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC processes is preferred.
