Principal/Associate – Transport Planning & Mobility

About the role

WSP Middle East is looking for an experienced Principal/Associate Transport Planner to lead mobility initiatives across major development projects in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. You will act as the mobility lead, managing client relationships, coordinating with authorities, and guiding technical delivery from feasibility through to detailed master planning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and delivery of transport master plans, impact studies, and mobility strategies for large‑scale mixed‑use, TOD, island, tourism, civic and government projects.
• Develop multimodal transport solutions covering road access, internal circulation, parking, active mobility, public transport integration and emerging mobility options.
• Coordinate with master planners, infrastructure engineers, sustainability, smart‑city and other disciplines to ensure transport requirements are fully integrated.
• Define trip generation, access assumptions, parking strategies, active mobility networks and mitigation measures.
• Oversee transport modelling inputs, review outputs and translate findings into clear client‑facing recommendations.
• Manage multiple workstreams across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, acting as Project Manager, Deputy Project Manager, Transport Lead or Mobility Lead as required.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in transport planning and mobility strategy within large development contexts.
• Strong ability to manage client interfaces, coordinate with authorities and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills and a track record of delivering high‑quality technical reports and presentations.
