Process Engineer – Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Process Engineer / Process Design Engineer to lead design and engineering activities on upstream oil & gas and pipeline projects. The role involves delivering design basis, calculations, and documentation across conceptual, FEED and detailed engineering stages.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review design basis, PFDs, P&IDs, heat & material balances, and HMB for urea plant projects.
• Perform and verify PSV relief load estimations, flare sizing, knockout drum sizing, pump and compressor calculations, anti‑surge and settle‑out analyses.
• Design and size separators, columns, heat exchangers, tanks and conduct hydraulic and control‑valve sizing reviews.
• Interface with piping, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation disciplines during EPC execution and participate in 3D model and vendor document reviews.
• Produce technical reports, calculation notes and design review comments ensuring compliance with international codes and project standards.

Required profile

• 8‑12+ years of process design and engineering experience on oil & gas upstream and pipeline projects.
• B.Tech or M.Tech in Chemical Engineering with at least 75% academic marks.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Process simulation tools: HYSYS, PROMAX.
• Flare network analysis tools.
• HTRI software for heat‑exchanger design.
• Strong ability to review and critique engineering calculations and documentation.
