Mechanic – Maintenance Execution

About the role

The Mechanic will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing rotating equipment and machinery within a plant environment. The role involves both routine and corrective maintenance, as well as supporting major shutdowns and turnarounds.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive and predictive maintenance checks according to schedules and check‑lists.
• Dismantle, assemble and replace components to correct defective equipment.
• Conduct start‑up tests, monitor performance and report out‑of‑tolerance readings.
• Install new equipment, modify existing systems and assist with start‑up and shutdown of critical machinery.
• Participate in annual plant shutdowns, major turnarounds and coordinate major equipment removals for overhaul.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or secondary school certificate with a vocational trade certificate.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in heavy‑equipment mechanical repairs within the oil/gas or power‑plant sector.
• Ability to work in an A/C environment and tolerate occasional heat, humidity and dust during site visits.
