Procurement Director (French Speaker)

About the role

DataOne Software is seeking a Procurement Director who speaks French to lead procurement strategy and execution for its high‑density data centre projects across the United States and the Americas. This senior, hands‑on role requires deep data‑centre experience and the ability to manage critical long‑lead‑time equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Define procurement strategy, governance, policies, approval thresholds and competitive bidding rules for the U.S. portfolio.
• Own category strategies for power generation, UPS systems, critical power infrastructure, mechanical cooling, white‑space equipment and civil construction services.
• Engage early in project design, contribute to specifications, lead sourcing, negotiations and contracting with EPCs, contractors and manufacturers through delivery and commissioning.
• Develop market intelligence, supplier panels, should‑cost models and dual‑sourcing strategies to mitigate long‑lead‑time risks.
• Establish supplier qualification processes, audits, scorecards and corrective action plans, monitoring cost, quality and delivery performance.
• Build and lead a high‑performing procurement team and collaborate with engineering, project management, finance and operations.

Required profile

• 15+ years of procurement experience with significant management responsibility.
• Direct data‑centre procurement experience, including strategic sourcing, category management and project procurement.
• Strong background in data‑centre construction, capital equipment, critical power and mechanical systems.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑million‑dollar contracts and conduct complex commercial negotiations.
• Fluent French speaking is mandatory.
