Specialist Piping Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Specialist Piping Engineer to lead mechanical (piping) design activities on major oil & gas and petrochemical projects in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on safety, technical review, and coordination with owners, contractors, and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Champion project safety culture and engage in safety activities.
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve piping engineering issues.
• Review and approve contractor deliverables, including equipment design, system layouts, specifications, calculations, and material requisitions.
• Attend technical meetings with owners, licensors, contractors, and vendors.
• Ensure quality and compliance of EPC contractor’s mechanical design with codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Coordinate engineering participation in design option analysis, specification development, and cross‑discipline reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
• At least 5 years in a similar senior position on mega projects, with ADNOC and offshore experience.
• Experience in FEED and EPC phases; PMC experience preferred.
