Procurement Officer – Farm Background

About the role

Apt Resources is seeking a Procurement Officer with a farm‑industry background to support the Royal Palace Farm in Abu Dhabi. You will source and procure high‑quality agricultural products to keep the palace grounds flourishing.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure a wide range of agricultural products, including fruits, vegetables, and specialty crops.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, and distributors.
• Ensure the quality and freshness of procured goods, adhering to the highest standards.
• Monitor market trends and identify cost‑effective procurement opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to optimise procurement processes.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement within the agricultural or farming sector.
• In‑depth understanding of farming practices, crops, and seasonal availability.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with procurement software.
• Advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
