Production Foreman

About the role

Alghanim Industries is hiring a Production Foreman in Ras Al Khaimah. The foreman ensures smooth operations on the shop floor and acts as the link between factory workers and supervisors. He coordinates daily tasks, sets worker schedules, oversees work quality and reports progress to management.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise workers on the shop floor and guide welders, fabricators and helpers according to job requirements.
• Prepare daily attendance records and production reports, and control man-hours.
• Check welder workmanship; once approved by quality control, the job moves to the next process.
• Assist in issuing tools, PPE and consumables to welders.
• Hold a daily safety tool meeting after lunch and motivate staff to meet customer requirements.
• Confirm completed jobs in SAP, including production orders, breakdowns and raw material and consumable requisitions.
• Check welding procedures and standards.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of experience.
• Diploma or higher school qualification.
• Fluent spoken Hindi and English.
• Knowledge of welding and fitting hazards and safety precautions, and of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Ability to supervise journeymen and helpers and to work from sketches, diagrams and blueprints.

Required skills

• Thorough knowledge of standard tools, equipment, materials and methods for the assigned trades.
• Knowledge of the SAP production planning module.
