Production Incharge

About the role

The Production Incharge will lead the day‑to‑day operations of the Joinery Division, ensuring that manufacturing output aligns with project schedules, quality standards, and cost targets. Acting as the operational bridge between the Production Manager, shop‑floor supervisors, and support departments, this role guarantees smooth, safe, and efficient workshop performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and organise daily/weekly production schedules across CNC, Cutting, Machining, Assembly, Finishing, Upholstery and Installation sub‑departments.
• Monitor progress against the master schedule, escalating delays or resource constraints promptly.
• Allocate manpower, machinery and materials to optimise productivity and minimise downtime.
• Supervise line supervisors and carpenters, ensuring compliance with shop drawings, cutting lists and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with QC for in‑process and final inspections and manage non‑conformances.
• Work with Store/Procurement to secure timely delivery of raw materials and consumables.
• Enforce health, safety and 5S housekeeping standards on the shop floor.
• Track machine condition, liaise with Maintenance and oversee preventive maintenance.
• Prepare daily manpower, productivity and wastage reports for management review.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, material waste and rework.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Wood Technology, Interior Fit‑Out or a related technical field.
• Minimum 15 years experience in joinery/furniture/interior fit‑out production, with 5‑8 years in a supervisory or in‑charge capacity.
• Sound knowledge of joinery manufacturing processes, materials and machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, cutting lists and technical specifications.
• Experience in a UAE manufacturing or fit‑out environment is preferred.
