Project Director – Large‑Scale Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of large‑scale building projects for a well‑established construction contractor in the UAE. The role involves full ownership of project delivery from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring programmes, budgets and client expectations are met.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for successful delivery of major construction projects.
• Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams to achieve programme, cost, quality and operational objectives.
• Provide leadership across construction, commercial, planning and technical functions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Monitor overall project performance and drive solutions to challenges.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support, mentor and foster a collaborative, high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• PMP certification is advantageous.
• 20+ years of construction industry experience.
• Minimum 8 years in a senior management role within the GCC market.
• Proven track record delivering major building projects across commercial, residential and mixed‑use sectors.
• Strong client‑facing and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication and team management skills.
