Project Engineer – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

As a Project Engineer you will join Boskalis' engineering team, providing remote technical support for small‑scale and less complex tenders, projects and designs, as well as parts of medium‑ to complex ones. You will work on infrastructure projects in the Netherlands such as dike and water‑barrier design, construction and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Draft specifications and procedures for tenders, projects and designs, ensuring compliance with customer and contract requirements.
• Design and develop technical solutions, offering alternatives to minimise risks.
• Determine scope, plan and budget for small projects or parts of larger ones, supervising colleagues, subcontractors and customers.
• Report progress, identify deviations in time, quality or cost, and support execution on‑site when needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement of departmental processes and evaluate engineering workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience with an infrastructure contractor, including relevant methods, techniques and professional software.
• Good command of English (written and spoken); Dutch is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD.
• Experience with QGIS.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Primavera planning software.
