Public Relations and Communications Specialist

About the role

Luna PR is seeking an experienced Public Relations & Communications Specialist to join its Dubai team. This hybrid, media‑first position requires turning client developments and industry trends into compelling media opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute media strategies for UAE, regional and global client accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, podcasters and other media contacts across the UAE, GCC and internationally.
• Pitch and secure earned media such as interviews, features, podcasts, contributed articles and expert quotes.
• Identify proactive story angles, monitor breaking news and emerging narratives, and develop media plans around funding rounds, product launches and executive appointments.
• Draft pitches, press releases, executive commentary, talking points and thought‑leadership pieces.
• Represent Luna PR and its clients at conferences, media events and industry gatherings.
• Track media coverage, sentiment and results, providing insights for client reporting.

Required profile

• Professional experience in public relations, communications, journalism or earned media, preferably in an agency environment.
• Strong understanding of the UAE and GCC media landscape; international media experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated track record of securing meaningful earned media coverage.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills; Arabic or additional languages are advantageous.
• Ability to communicate confidently with founders, CEOs, investors and senior stakeholders.
• Highly proactive, organized and able to manage multiple accounts in fast‑moving news cycles.
