Purchasing Representative – Procurement Role

About the role

The Purchasing Representative will manage the procurement of materials, equipment and services for alfanar Electric in Dubai. The role ensures timely order processing, supplier coordination and compliance with internal purchasing policies to support operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue purchase orders based on approved material/service requests, ensuring accuracy and alignment with specifications.
• Communicate with suppliers to track order status, resolve queries and expedite deliveries as needed.
• Update ERP system (SAP) with purchase order details, delivery information and maintain proper documentation.
• Monitor purchase costs, report variances and identify cost‑saving opportunities through competitive sourcing.
• Liaise with internal departments to clarify requirements and provide delivery updates to support production schedules.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate or candidate with 0‑2 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain.
• Ability to follow company policies, procurement guidelines and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and capability to report deviations and suggest process improvements.

Required skills

• SAP (ERP) system usage for purchase order processing.
• Cost Benefit Analysis and Cost Reduction Analysis.
• Knowledge of purchasing procedures, supply chain management and group purchasing.
