QA/QC Engineer – Construction

About the role

A client of Agile Consultants is hiring a QA/QC Engineer in Dubai for the construction industry. The role supports quality assurance and quality control activities, carries out inspections and ensures construction works comply with project specifications, quality standards and applicable regulations. The salary is AED 7,000 - 10,000.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance plans and procedures to meet contractual requirements.
• Monitor and evaluate quality control processes and recommend improvements.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, test plans and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Conduct regular site inspections of construction processes and materials.
• Oversee material testing, including concrete strength, soil compaction and welding inspections.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve quality standards.
• Report quality issues to project management and propose corrective actions.
• Deliver quality training and awareness sessions for site staff and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry standards and best practices, and conduct internal and external audits.
• Prepare for third-party audits and inspections and address their findings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer in construction; 3-5 years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods and quality assurance concepts.
• Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, ASTM and ACI.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications such as CQI or CQA are an advantage.
