QA/QC Engineer

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer will control and monitor all activities related to the Quality Management System (QMS) for projects in Dubai. The role involves preparing quality procedures, maintaining comprehensive QA/QC documentation, and ensuring that all work complies with ISO 9001 standards and contract requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quality procedures and plans and coordinate review of as‑built and shop drawings.
• Ensure implementation of project quality procedures in compliance with ISO 9001 and contract specifications.
• Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project QMS, recommending improvements as needed.
• Record and manage non‑conforming works, issue NCRs, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Prepare inspection and test plans, coordinate QA/QC activities with site managers, and report issues for mitigation.
• Utilise approved digital and AI tools for document checks, audit preparation, trend analysis and reporting while maintaining data confidentiality.

Required profile

• BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of construction experience; airport experience is a plus.
• Certified Lead Auditor in Quality Management Systems (IRCA) with ISO 9001:2008/2015 training.
• Previous consulting experience and strong English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with QA/QC document control platforms, dashboards and registers.
• Use of AI‑assisted tools for analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management standards.
