QA/QC Inspector - Construction

About the role

A construction company in Abu Dhabi is looking for a detail-oriented QA/QC Inspector with 5-8 years of construction experience. The inspector carries out inspections and quality control activities on site, ensuring that works comply with approved drawings, specifications, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Abu Dhabi authority requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine and scheduled site inspections and verify works against approved drawings, specifications and method statements
• Ensure compliance with ITPs, checklists and quality procedures, witness tests and record results
• Identify quality issues, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and monitor corrective and preventive actions until closure
• Inspect delivered materials against approved submittals and monitor workmanship standards for civil, architectural and/or MEP works
• Coordinate inspections with consultants and authorities such as ADM/DMT, ADDC and ADCD, and ensure inspection comments are recorded and closed
• Prepare inspection requests (IRs), checklists and daily inspection reports, maintain quality records and support as-built and handover documentation
• Ensure works meet HSE requirements and report unsafe practices to the HSE team

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• 5-8 years of QA/QC inspection experience, with strong experience in Abu Dhabi projects
• Exposure to buildings, infrastructure or mixed-use projects
• Preferred: experience with main contractors or PMC consultants in Abu Dhabi, hands-on experience with consultant and authority inspections, and ability to work in fast-track environments
• Preferred certifications: CSWIP (structural/steel works) and relevant QA/QC certifications or training

Required skills

• Understanding of construction drawings, specifications and ITPs
• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi authority inspection requirements
• Ability to prepare inspection reports and quality documentation
• Attention to detail, good communication and coordination, and basic computer skills (MS Office)
