QC Welding Inspector

About the role

The QC Welding Inspector is a full‑time, on‑site position based in the United Arab Emirates. You will be responsible for monitoring and verifying welding quality across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with international codes, client specifications and Intertek’s quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of welds and document findings.
• Review welding procedures, welder qualifications and ensure adherence to ASME, AWS, ISO and other relevant codes.
• Prepare inspection reports, support non‑conformance investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors and clients, and participate in quality audits.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement of welding practices.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in structural steel fabrication and piping with strong QC/QA background.
• Relevant certification such as CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI or equivalent welding inspection qualification (mandatory).
• Clear professional communication skills and ability to work safely in field and site environments.
• ADNOC approval is highly preferable.
