Quality Control Specialist (Pharma)

About the role

The Quality Control Specialist will work in Julphar's HQ laboratory in Ras Al Khaimah, ensuring that all pharmaceutical products meet cGMP, GLP and safety standards. The role involves performing chemical and physical analyses of finished products, raw materials and stability samples, as well as supporting process validation and method development.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out chemical and physical testing of finished products, raw materials and stability samples.
• Operate and maintain QC equipment such as HPLC and GC systems.
• Enter and lock analytical data in SAP, ensuring data integrity and proper audit trails.
• Create, validate and approve HPLC & GC analytical methods from pharmacopeial references.
• Support process validation, method transfer, and stability studies.
• Investigate out‑of‑specification (OOS), out‑of‑trend (OOT) results and laboratory incidents, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Assist supervisors, train newly joined staff and qualify analysts for QC tasks.
• Participate in internal and external audits, close observations and manage QMS actions (deviations, CAPAs, change controls) using the Amplelogic system.

Required profile

• Strong sense of accountability and ownership.
• Ability to train and mentor junior laboratory personnel.
• Attention to detail and commitment to good documentation practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HPLC instrumentation.
• Proficiency with GC instrumentation.
• Experience entering and managing data in SAP.
• Familiarity with Amplelogic QMS software.
• Knowledge of cGMP, GLP and GMP laboratory standards.
