Quality Inspector – Incoming Quality Control

About the role

AirQ seeks an experienced Quality Inspector to lead incoming inspection of raw materials, purchased parts, and outsourced components for unmanned aerial systems. The role ensures conformity to engineering drawings, specifications, and AS9100 standards while supporting supplier quality and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of metallic and composite parts using precision tools and CMM.
• Verify supplier documentation such as Certificates of Conformance, material test reports, and inspection reports.
• Raise and manage NCRs and SCARs, support corrective actions, and participate in MRB, FAI, and supplier validation activities.
• Monitor supplier quality performance, identify recurring defects, and support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of hands‑on incoming inspection or quality control experience, preferably in aerospace or regulated manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications and material certifications.

Required skills

• Use of precision measuring equipment: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
• Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Experience with material traceability, sampling plans and QMS/ERP systems.
