Quality Manager - Aviation Product Safety & Compliance

About the role

This role leads the site's Quality (Product Safety & Compliance) function and acts as the functional management representative, ensuring compliance with all aviation and non-aviation regulatory approvals. It advises and guides the site to meet quality objectives on time and within budget, and oversees the Quality Management System (QMS) so that outputs remain safe, reliable and fully compliant. The position is based on-site with the Collins team in the Abu Dhabi Airports Free Zone.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the site's Quality function, including policy, standards, compliance oversight and resource management.
• Serve as the functional management representative for aviation and non-aviation regulatory approvals.
• Act as the site representative for the Quality and Safety Management System, reporting its performance to leadership.
• Provide Quality leadership to the site and champion the Voice of the Customer across the product lifecycle.
• Ensure product and process compliance in aerospace operations (OEM and Aftermarket).
• Develop and maintain processes and controls for consistent quality, and lead and develop the Quality team.
• Run audit programs, prepare and evaluate QMS documentation, and drive continuous improvement, including Lean tools such as CORE and reduction of Cost of Poor Quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of managerial experience in a medium-sized operational facility, preferably in aviation maintenance, repair or service.
• Proven experience managing technical operations and leading audits in a regulated aerospace environment, with formal auditor training.
• Experience in global environments and fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Legal right to work and live in the UAE preferred.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of QMS and Safety Management Systems, and of Lean methods such as root cause analysis, value stream mapping, 5S and Kaizen.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, JDE, SAP and OneStream/HFM.
