Quantity Surveyor – MEP (UAE/GCC)

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor specialised in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) to lead commercial management of large‑scale projects across the UAE and GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate quantity take‑offs, cost plans, budgets and estimates for MEP works.
• Manage variations, claims, extensions of time and cost impact assessments.
• Handle subcontractor procurement, tender analysis, contract administration and commercial negotiations.
• Produce interim payment applications, monthly valuations, cost reports and final accounts.
• Coordinate with project managers, planners, engineers, consultants and clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 8‑12 years of MEP quantity surveying experience in the UAE/GCC, preferably with Tier‑1 contractors.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, drainage, electrical, ELV and infrastructure services.
• Solid understanding of FIDIC contracts and commercial risk management.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel for commercial reporting.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Familiarity with BIM‑based quantity extraction and cost management.
