Radio Operator – Shipping/Marine

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Radio Operator to join our shipping and marine operations in the United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will manage radio communications aboard vessels, ensure equipment reliability, and support emergency response procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor shipboard radio equipment for voice and data transmission.
• Maintain continuous communication with ports, coast guards, and other vessels.
• Perform routine technical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on radio systems.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and coordinate distress communications.
• Document communication logs and equipment status reports.

Required profile

• 5 to 8 years of hands‑on experience as a Radio Operator in the shipping or marine sector.
• Educational qualification of 12th grade, Diploma or ITI in a relevant field.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively and collaborate with crew members.
