Recreation Attendant – Pool & Wellness Services

About the role

Sofitel Dubai The Palm, a 5-star beachfront resort on the Palm Jumeirah, is hiring a Recreation Attendant. You will provide warm, engaging and authentically local personalised service to guests using the resort's wellness and recreation facilities, in a luxury, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with guests and help with their needs, such as issuing towels and chaise lounge covers, setting up chaise lounges and cabanas
• Pick up and remove used towels and debris from the pool deck areas during the day
• Deliver unique, personal experiences through detailed service
• Keep the pool area clean, well set up and welcoming, controlling its ambiance
• Know the wellness and recreation services, activities, amenities and hotel features
• Up-sell and promote wellness and recreation offers to maximise sales revenue
• Carry out opening and closing duties and set the pool to standards and procedures
• Be familiar with fire and life safety and emergency procedures
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, and perform other reasonable duties assigned by management

Required profile

• At least one year of experience as a recreation attendant
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Available to carry out any assignment delegated by the department manager

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of recreational equipment and facilities
• Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency response procedures
