Registered Midwife

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Registered Midwife to join the maternity services at Danat Al Emarat, a leading women’s and children’s hospital in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering evidence‑based, woman‑centred care throughout antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive antenatal assessments, monitoring, education and individualized care plans.
• Assist and manage normal labour and delivery, monitoring fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs.
• Recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies and complications.
• Administer prescribed medications and support pain management during labour.
• Deliver immediate postpartum care to mothers and assess newborn health.
• Promote and support breastfeeding through lactation education.
• Document patient assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, paediatricians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain infection‑prevention practices and advocate for women’s cultural preferences.
• Participate in patient safety, quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery or Nursing with Midwifery qualification.
• Valid DOH/DHA license and current home‑country licence.
