Registered Nurse – ICU Trauma Care

About the role

The Registered Nurse – ICU Trauma Care provides specialised nursing care to critically ill trauma patients in the Intensive Care Unit of Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital. Working in a state‑of‑the‑art, JCI‑accredited facility, the nurse ensures safe, evidence‑based treatment while supporting patients and families throughout the critical care journey.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver evidence‑based nursing care to critically ill trauma patients in the ICU.
• Continuously monitor complex clinical conditions and operate advanced critical‑care equipment.
• Participate in trauma resuscitations, emergency interventions and rapid‑response situations.
• Administer medications, blood products and life‑support therapies accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualised trauma care plans.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes in the EMR system.
• Provide clear communication and compassionate support to patients’ families.
• Adhere to infection‑prevention, patient‑safety and organisational quality standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualification recognised in the UAE.
• Experience in ICU or critical‑care nursing, preferably with trauma patients.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.
• Commitment to following DOH regulations and hospital policies.

Required skills

• Operation of advanced critical‑care equipment.
• Medication and blood product administration.
• EMR documentation and data entry.
• Trauma resuscitation and emergency response.
