Registered Nurse

About the role

NMC Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse in Abu Dhabi on a full-time basis. The nurse works within their scope of practice, placing the health, wellbeing and safety of the patient first, and assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about health conditions, and give advice and emotional support to patients and their families
• Assess and identify patient needs, implement and monitor the medical plan and treatment, working with physicians and other healthcare specialists
• Perform systematic patient assessments, analyse the data, determine nursing diagnoses and create and evaluate care plans with the interprofessional team
• Record vital signs, recognise and escalate abnormalities, and maintain clinical and technical nursing skills
• Use strategies to promote patient health and a safe environment, and understand diagnostic tests and laboratory examinations
• Perform essential life support (BLS, PALS, ACLS, neonatal resuscitation) and prepare patients for examinations and treatment
• Administer medications, IV fluids and blood products, and provide wound care and assist in procedures
• Facilitate safe patient admission, transfer and discharge

Required profile

• A valid license to work as a registered nurse in the relevant regulatory health authority, with the required qualifications and experience
• Own professional re-licensure
• Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card
• Clear spoken and written English
• Willingness to work across departments when necessary
