Registered Nurse - NICU

About the role

Royal Hospital Dubai Investment Park is recruiting a Registered Nurse for its NICU. The nurse works within the NMC Nursing framework, supporting the mission of safe, compassionate, individualized care and collaborating with colleagues to deliver safe and outstanding care to patients and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about health conditions, and give advice and emotional support to patients and their families
• Assess patients' needs, implement and monitor their medical plan and treatment, working with physicians and other specialists
• Perform systematic assessments, analyse data, determine nursing diagnoses and create and evaluate care plans with the interprofessional team
• Record vital signs, recognise and escalate abnormalities, and maintain clinical and technical skills
• Perform essential life support including BLS, PALS, ACLS and neonatal resuscitation
• Administer medications, IV fluids and blood products, and provide wound care
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, assist in procedures, and support admission, transfer and discharge

Required profile

• Valid license to work as a registered nurse in the relevant regulatory authority, with the required qualifications and experience
• Owns their own professional re-licensure
• Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support provider card
• Willingness to work across departments when necessary
• Clear spoken and written English; Arabic communication is desirable

Required skills

• Ability to work in an inter-professional team (desirable)
• Use of the electronic medical record platform for clinical documentation (desirable)
