Registered Nurse - OPD (Sharjah)

About the role

Sunny Medical Center Sharqan is hiring a Registered Nurse for its OPD in Sharjah. The nurse works within the scope of practice, placing the health, wellbeing and safety of patients first, and provides and coordinates patient care while educating patients and the public about health conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and identify patients' needs, perform systematic assessments and re-assessments, and collect and analyse health data
• Determine nursing diagnoses, define expected outcomes and create and evaluate care plans with the interprofessional team
• Record vital signs, recognise and escalate abnormalities, and maintain clinical and technical nursing skills
• Perform essential life support such as BLS, PALS, ACLS and neonatal resuscitation
• Administer medications, IV fluids and blood products, provide wound care and assist in medical procedures
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, and facilitate safe admission, transfer and discharge

Required profile

• Valid license to work as a registered nurse in the relevant regulatory health authority, with all required qualifications and experience
• Own responsibility for professional re-licensure
• Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support provider card
• Willingness to work across departments when necessary
• Clear spoken and written English; Arabic communication is desirable

• Ability to use an electronic medical record platform for clinical documentation
• Effective Arabic communication
