Registered Nurse – OT (Sharjah)

About the role

The Royal Hospital Sharjah is seeking a Registered Nurse to work in the Operating Theatre (OT) department. You will provide comprehensive patient care, coordinate with physicians and allied health professionals, and ensure safety throughout the surgical process.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the inter‑professional team.
• Perform systematic patient assessments, record vital signs and identify any abnormalities.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products and monitor for reactions.
• Provide wound care management and assist in invasive and non‑invasive medical procedures.
• Facilitate safe patient admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Maintain equipment, report faults and ensure compliance with emergency protocols.

Required profile

• Valid license to practice as a registered nurse with the relevant UAE health authority.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.
• Willingness to work across departments and be on call when needed.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Medication administration and monitoring for side effects.
• IV therapy and blood product handling.
• Wound care management.
• Emergency procedures and equipment proficiency.
