Regulatory Research Analyst

About the role

Dune Strategy, a boutique management consulting firm in Dubai, is looking for a Regulatory Research Analyst to support partners by researching and interpreting regulatory frameworks across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Research regulatory frameworks, licensing requirements and policy positions, keeping information up‑to‑date.
• Map counterparties, ownership structures and decision‑making authorities.
• Assemble concise briefing material for partner‑led meetings.
• Track regulatory developments over weeks or months and flag decision points.
• Write briefing notes that outline positions, reasoning and open issues.
• Verify numbers and filings before client delivery.

Required profile

• Clear, concise writing ability suitable for partner and client review.
• Pragmatic approach, comfortable working with incomplete information.
• Strong source discipline and ability to trace facts.
• Judgement to distinguish critical findings from background.
• Interest in finance, economics or politics; language skills (Arabic, French) are a plus.
• Exposure to heavily regulated sectors (financial services, energy, healthcare, real estate, telecoms) is useful but not required.
