Relationship Manager – Large Merchant Relationships

About the role

The Relationship Manager will drive growth in the merchant acquiring business across Dubai and Abu Dhabi by expanding acquiring channels and delivering value‑added services to large merchants.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire and onboard large to very large merchants, ensuring a smooth transition to our acquiring products and services.
• Promote and sell value‑added services such as Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC), mPOS, loyalty programmes and other relevant solutions.
• Maintain long‑term relationships through regular communication, personalized support and proactive issue resolution.
• Collaborate with major card schemes (VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, CUP) on payment‑card business matters.
• Monitor client satisfaction, gather feedback and adjust strategies to retain merchants and meet sales targets.
• Analyse market trends, competition and regulatory changes to develop expansion strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in the Payment Card Industry, specifically in acquiring.
• Strong knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations and associated risks.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to analyse existing processes and recommend improvements.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of VISA, MasterCard, AMEX and CUP products and operational risk regulations.
• Experience with merchant acquiring products and services.
• Familiarity with value‑added services such as DCC, mPOS and loyalty programmes.
