Relationship Specialist – Liabilities (Corporate & HNI Deposits)

About the role

A leading banking institution is hiring a Relationship Specialist – Liabilities to grow its deposit franchise across corporate clients and high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs). You will own client relationships end to end, from sourcing and negotiation to cross-sell and retention, acting as the client's trusted financial partner and driving sustainable deposit growth.

Key responsibilities

• Build relationship plans anticipating client deposit needs and offering tailored solutions to grow CASA and term deposit balances.
• Identify, target and onboard corporate and HNWI clients with strong deposit potential, maintaining a well-diversified, sector-spread portfolio reviewed regularly.
• Visit clients at their premises, understand their business and financial needs, and prepare visit reports with proposed actions.
• Stay in regular contact with key clients and deliver agreed KPIs and deposit targets.
• Negotiate deposit transactions on behalf of the bank and identify and execute cross-sell opportunities.
• Manage turnaround times within SLAs while delivering an excellent customer experience.
• Prepare deposit applications and enter them into the core banking system (Finacle).
• Prepare a monthly business enhancement plan with follow-up actions against targets set by the AVP – Deposits.
• Produce MIS, reports and analysis on existing and prospective clients, track local banking and financial developments, and support the launch and promotion of Islamic banking products.
• Provide corporate advisory to strengthen relationships and create future deposit opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Business or a related field (MBA is a plus).
• 4-8 years in deposits, liabilities, corporate banking, private banking or relationship management.
• Proven record of meeting deposit and revenue targets.
• Strong negotiation, financial analysis and client-presentation skills.
• Understanding of KYC / AML and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication; Arabic is a plus (if applicable).

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Finacle or a similar core banking platform.
• Exposure to Islamic banking products is an advantage.
