Research Assistant in Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmacy Practice

About the role

The university is seeking a Research Assistant to support teaching and research activities in the fields of clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice. The role involves preparing educational materials, supervising laboratory sessions, and assisting faculty with scientific projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver teaching resources such as syllabi, visual aids, answer keys, supplementary notes, and course websites.
• Supervise practical and simulation pharmacy sessions, ensuring compliance with GLP and SOPs.
• Assist faculty and researchers in conducting studies, preparing manuscripts, and managing journal production tasks.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, coordinate maintenance, and follow up on repairs.
• Lead discussion sections, tutorials, and laboratory classes.
• Meet regularly with the supervisor to discuss research assignments and progress.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacy Practice, or Pharm.D.
• Minimum of one year full‑time experience in a similar university‑level position.
• Research experience in a relevant pharmacy field.
• Familiarity with the UAE pharmacy system is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is desirable.

Required skills

• Strong computer skills, including MS Office suite.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint for presentations.
• Advanced Excel abilities for data handling.
