Research Scientist – Cyber Security (NYU Abu Dhabi)

About the role

The Center for Cyber Security at NYU Abu Dhabi is seeking a Research Scientist to lead cutting‑edge research in systems security and privacy. The role is based in Abu Dhabi with close collaboration opportunities with NYU researchers in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct world‑class research in security and privacy and publish in top‑tier conferences and journals.
• Collaborate with government entities, industry partners, and NYU researchers to deliver groundbreaking results.
• Mentor PhD, master and bachelor students, enhancing their research capabilities.
• Support the Center by contributing technically and administratively to workshops, conferences and competitions.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field with a focus on security or privacy.
• At least six years of post‑doctoral research experience in computer security, demonstrated by a strong publication record.
• Excellent analytical, design and coding abilities, strong written and oral communication skills, and the capacity to work independently or in a team.
