About the role

The Division of Science Mathematics at NYU Abu Dhabi seeks a Research Scientist to lead independent and collaborative research in partial differential equations, mathematical fluid dynamics, and related areas of mathematical physics.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct original research on nonlinear PDEs, fluid dynamics, KAM theory, hyperbolic systems, kinetic equations, and plasma physics.
  • Participate actively in research seminars, working groups, and other scientific activities.

Required profile

  • Ph.D. in Mathematics with at least six years of post‑doctoral research experience.
  • Strong scientific background and a proven research record.

Required skills

  • Expertise in nonlinear partial differential equations.
  • Knowledge of mathematical fluid dynamics and related physical models.
  • Familiarity with KAM theory, hyperbolic systems, kinetic equations, and plasma physics.
