Restaurant Hostess (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

The Restaurant Hostess is the first point of contact for guests at Fairmont Ajman. Fluent Arabic speakers will welcome guests, manage reservations and ensure smooth seating, contributing to a memorable dining experience in a 5‑star beachfront hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
• Manage the reservation system: booking, confirming and updating reservations.
• Organise seating arrangements to optimise guest flow and service efficiency.
• Communicate wait times and escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and specials.
• Handle guest inquiries, especially for Arabic‑speaking patrons, and coordinate with the service team.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the host stand, lobby and dining area.
• Collect guest feedback and relay any issues to the Restaurant Manager.
• Uphold professional grooming and adhere to hotel standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training is a plus.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar host/hostess role, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
• Fluency in Arabic and English, both spoken and written.
• Excellent customer service, communication and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Ability to multitask, stay calm during busy periods and work flexible shifts, weekends and public holidays.
