Retail Sales Associate – Customer Experience

About the role

The Sales Associate is responsible for delivering an excellent in‑store customer experience while supporting the achievement of sales targets. The role requires understanding customer needs, recommending suitable products, and maintaining strong product knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly, identify their needs, provide product information, and cross‑sell or upsell to achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales KPIs.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards, keep the store and fitting rooms clean and organized, and manage stock processes including receiving, price tagging and replenishment.
• Operate the POS system efficiently, process transactions, returns and exchanges, and handle cash and card payments in line with company policies.
• Participate actively in team meetings, sales huddles and product knowledge sessions, and communicate operational challenges or customer feedback to the Store Manager.

Required profile

• Previous retail sales or customer service experience, preferably in premium marine, sports or lifestyle environments.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills with a proactive approach to selling.
• Ability to quickly learn product knowledge and recommend appropriate marine and leisure products.
• Basic familiarity with POS systems, cash handling and retail store operations.
• Good organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced team.
• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and varied shifts.
• Fluency in English; additional languages such as Arabic or Russian are an advantage.
