Russian Speaker - Dean of Academic Affairs

About the role

Plekhanov University is hiring a full-time, on-site Dean of Academic Affairs for its Dubai campus. The position requires fluency in Russian and English and oversees academic departments, ensuring that programs meet institutional standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead curriculum planning and review
• Coordinate accreditation-related activities
• Manage academic policies and procedures
• Supervise academic staff
• Collaborate with enrollment and student affairs teams and support student success initiatives
• Foster an inclusive academic environment and engage in strategic planning and data-driven decision-making

Required profile

• Strong expertise in academic administration, including policy development, faculty coordination and academic governance
• Proven experience in curriculum development, program design and review, and accreditation processes and documentation for external review
• Knowledge of enrollment management, recruitment, admissions and retention
• Experience with student affairs, engagement and well-being
• Advanced degree in education, higher education administration or a related field; doctoral degree preferred
• Fluency in Russian and excellent English, with strong written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning, team management and cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and uphold inclusive, non-discriminatory practices
