Safety, Health & Environment Advisor

About the role

We are looking for a Safety, Health & Environment Advisor to join AECOM’s Abu Dhabi team. The role will support the integration of SHE standards across project lifecycles, ensuring compliance with UAE and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate safety, health and environmental (SHE) requirements into all phases of projects.
• Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations and environmental impact assessments.
• Perform safety audits, inspections and develop corrective action plans.
• Monitor workplace hazards and diseases, and recommend process or design improvements.
• Support employee training, emergency preparedness and the continuous improvement of SHE programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in SHE roles, preferably with project supervision.
• Strong knowledge of UAE and international SHE regulations and standards.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to influence project teams.
