Safety Officer

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a Safety Officer in Dubai to implement health, safety and environmental (HSE) procedures across the factory premises and to create a safe working environment by identifying risks and enforcing safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect workplace activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols and UAE labor laws.
• Lead site safety audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Develop and deliver safety training and induction sessions for new and existing staff.
• Maintain safety records and keep documentation up to date.
• Respond to and manage on-site emergencies, giving first response and coordinating with emergency services.
• Recommend and enforce corrective actions for unsafe practices or conditions.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all departments.

Required profile

• Minimum 3-5 years in industrial safety (cement, construction or heavy industry).
• Experience in a cement manufacturing plant or construction industry is mandatory.
• NEBOSH IGC / IOSH or another recognized HSE certification (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of UAE health and safety laws and industrial compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong documentation and reporting abilities.
• Physically fit, alert and responsive to factory operations.
