Sales Assistant - IKEA Al Wahda

About the role

Al-Futtaim, a diversified regional group with more than 40,000 employees and over 200 brands including IKEA, is hiring a Sales Assistant for its IKEA Al Wahda store in Abu Dhabi. The Sales Assistant generates sales and delivers a positive customer experience, especially in the market hall area, and carries out operational tasks assigned by the shopkeeper such as arranging products and keeping the sales floor tidy.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain store standards and cleanliness so the environment is sparkling and organised.
• Meet or exceed weekly sales targets.
• Take part in all market hall inventories and attend store meetings and related functions.
• Follow IKEA policies and procedures and adhere to the designated work schedule with punctuality.
• Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile, give them current relevant information and create a positive first impression.
• Complete duties assigned by the shopkeeper and collaborate flexibly with peers and management.

Required profile

• High school degree.
• At least 1 year of experience in retail sales.
• Ability to lift certain products and stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
• Warm and friendly demeanor consistent with Al-Futtaim and IKEA values.
