Sales Assistant – Sports Retail

About the role

The Sales Assistant – Sports will represent GMG Group’s sports portfolio, helping customers discover and purchase products while delivering exceptional service. You will act as the primary point of contact for product information, sales transactions, and after‑sales support.

Key responsibilities

• Describe product features, demonstrate usage, and educate clients on brand standards.
• Advise customers on the best product ranges for their needs and answer queries.
• Provide information on warranties, maintenance, and care.
• Handle customer complaints, ensuring resolution or proper escalation.
• Stay updated on new product launches, promotions, and sales events.
• Achieve sales targets through up‑selling and cross‑selling techniques.
• Accurately compute prices, discounts, and process cash, card, and credit transactions.
• Generate invoices, receipts, and operate as a cashier with precise money handling.
• Follow after‑sales processes, repair/return policies, and loss‑prevention procedures.
• Assist with store merchandising, product placement, and maintain high housekeeping and grooming standards.

Required profile

• Minimum of 12 months experience in a retail sales environment.
• Strong product brand knowledge and customer‑service orientation.
