Sales Manager – Groups

About the role

Fairmont The Palm, a luxury resort on the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, is hiring a Sales Manager – Groups. The role is responsible for meeting sales targets and securing groups and banquet business, working closely with the Catering & Conference Service Department.

Key responsibilities

• Meet sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
• Solicit groups and banquet business through action plan preparation and execution.
• Establish quotes based on group pricing strategy, confirmed by written contracts.
• Manage RFP inquiries through Lanyon, Cvent and Meeting Broker platforms.
• Maintain account, contact, activity and business details within Anais.
• Work with the Catering & Conference Service Department so that contract details are delivered and guests leave satisfied.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.
• Balance operational, administrative and hospitality needs and follow departmental policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Previous 5-star hotel sales experience is required.
• Established contacts with local DMCs and corporate accounts; experience with international groups is a plus.
• University or college degree in a related discipline preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and a calm, courteous approach focused on guest needs.
