Sales Manager - MICE & Corporate

About the role

A luxury five-star hotel in Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai, is looking for a Sales Manager - MICE & Corporate to join its Sales & Marketing team. The role develops group business from corporate clients and MICE agents, strengthens existing relationships and uncovers new opportunities to meet the hotel's revenue and occupancy targets. The ideal candidate understands the UAE hospitality market, group movements and Dubai's exhibition calendar.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run sales strategies to generate group room nights and revenue from corporate accounts, MICE agencies, event organisers and DMCs.
• Identify and secure new business domestically and internationally, and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and presentations to proposals, contracts and conversion.
• Build relationships with corporate clients, MICE agents, PCOs, DMCs, travel management companies and industry partners.
• Manage leads from MICE platforms and online sourcing portals, and use Dubai's exhibitions, trade shows and events to drive group business.
• Prepare competitive proposals, negotiate rates and terms, and work with Revenue Management, Reservations, Events & Catering on lead conversion and group delivery.
• Maintain account profiles, sales activity reports, pipelines and monthly production forecasts, and monitor market trends and competitor activity.

Required profile

• Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience in a 5-star hotel or luxury resort with a proven track record in MICE and corporate group business.
• Experience securing group business from corporate clients and MICE agents.
• Good knowledge of Dubai and the UAE's major exhibitions, trade fairs and events calendar.
• Existing relationships with corporate accounts, MICE agencies, DMCs and partners are an advantage.
• Valid UAE driving licence is essential.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; Arabic is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Familiarity with MICE sourcing platforms such as Cvent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and OPERA.
• Negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
