Salesforce Data Migration Architect

About the role

The Salesforce Data Migration Architect will lead the end‑to‑end migration architecture for a large‑scale Salesforce transformation, handling terabytes of enterprise data. You will define strategies, design Azure‑based solutions, and ensure governance and performance across the migration lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define enterprise‑wide Salesforce data migration architecture and source‑to‑target mapping.
• Design scalable migration solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure Synapse.
• Architect high‑volume bulk migration mechanisms and data quality, cleansing, and reconciliation frameworks.
• Plan migration waves, cutover strategy and governance, and lead risk assessment and mitigation.
• Collaborate with Salesforce Architects, business teams and Azure platform teams to ensure security, compliance and audit requirements.

Required profile

• 12+ years overall IT experience, with at least 5 years on Salesforce programs and 5 years on Azure data engineering.
• Proven experience delivering 2+ large‑scale Salesforce migration programs (>1 TB data).

Required skills

• Salesforce platform, Standard & Custom Objects, Bulk API and integration patterns.
• Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL / Synapse.
• Large‑scale data migration, ETL/ELT design, data reconciliation and quality management.
• Performance tuning of ADF pipelines and migration cutover management.
