School Accountant (UAE National)

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking a UAE‑national School Accountant to manage financial operations across its schools in Abu Dhabi. The role supports budgeting, reporting and day‑to‑day finance activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial information for school leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and control the school budget, monitor expenditures and close the books on schedule.
• Produce monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports and present them to the Principal and Operations Support Manager.
• Handle bank reconciliations, petty cash management and asset depreciation runs.
• Review and approve purchase requisitions, ensuring budget availability and correct coding.
• Process supplier payments using three‑way matching (invoice, purchase order, goods receipt note) and reconcile supplier accounts.
• Support month‑end closing activities, balance‑sheet schedules and profit‑and‑loss accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual school budget in coordination with HQ finance teams.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits and respond to ad‑hoc reporting requests.
• Address exceptional parent queries related to finance and support other schools during absences.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting.
• Accounting certifications (CPA, CA, CMA, CFA) are a plus.
• Relevant finance experience, preferably within an educational environment.
